SEP Linux tray icon appears in the middle of the screen on Ubuntu 18.04

Fix ID: ESCRT-1364

Symptoms: Tray icon for SEP Linux appears in the middle of the screen on some Linux distributions.

Solution: Updated framework to provide updated tray icon support.

SEPM Web Console cannot save installation package files

Fix ID: ESCRT-2918

Symptoms: Save Package function from Web Console does not save the created file.

Solution: Corrected a logic error that caused a file naming issue when attempting the file download from the Web Console.

SEP Mac kernel panic with USB-C LAN adapters

Fix ID: ESCRT-3132

Symptoms: Intermittent kernel panic observed when certain USB-C LAN adapters are used with a universal Apple driver. 

Solution: Updated the SEP Mac agent to avoid the area in macOS responsible for the panic.

SEP Mac kernel panic involving SymXIPS

Fix ID: ESCRT-3014

Symptoms: Kernel panics observed that appear to involve the SymXIPS of the SEP Mac client.

Solution: SEP Mac agent architecture update.

Unable to unlock IronKey USB devices on SEP Mac

Fix ID: ESCRT-3029

Symptoms: On macOS 10.14, IronKey USB devices are unable to successfully unlock.

Solution: SEP Mac agent architecture update.

SEP Linux support for Amazon Linux 2

Fix ID: ESCRT-3583

Symptoms: Auto-Protect kernel modules do not compile on Amazon Linux 2.

Solution: Support added for Amazon Linux 2 kernel version 4.14.

Computer Status logs do not show any entries for clients in groups created after an upgrade of the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager

Fix ID: ESCRT-3604

Symptoms: Error in scm-server-0.log: “com.sygate.scm.server.task.PackageTaskjava.lang.NullPointerException”.

Solution: Updated PackageTask to address the exception.

SEP Linux is unable to connect to the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager on RHEL 7.7

Fix ID: ESCRT-3612

Symptoms: SEP Linux clients are unable to connect to the SEPM with RHEL 7.7 on XEN platform.

Solution: Updated BIOS version field to better handle installations on XEN platform.

SEP Linux auto-compile fails on Amazon Linux AMI 2018.03

Fix ID: ESCRT-3632

Symptoms: Unable to successfully auto-compile kernel modules for installation on Amazon Linux AMI 2018.03.

Solution: Updated kernel headers and build script to allow auto-compile to complete.

Bugcheck 133 on a server installation with Microsoft Exchange

Fix ID: ESCRT-3642

Symptoms: Unexpected reboot experienced on Microsoft Exchange server.

Solution: Updated kernel headers and build script to allow auto-compile to complete.

SEP Linux is unable to connect to the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager

Fix ID: ESCRT-3687

Symptoms: SEP Linux clients with special characters in the BIOS Version field are unable to connect to the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager.

Solution: Updated BIOS version field to better handle special characters.

Bugcheck 9e on Windows Server 2016

Fix ID: ESCRT-3700

Symptoms: Bugcheck 9e caused by SRTSP64.sys on Windows Server 2016.

Solution: Resolved a rare race condition in Auto-Protect performance monitoring.

SEP Mac scan status does not update

Fix ID: ESCRT-3741

Symptoms: SEP Mac scan status does not update in the client UI, log history, or settings if SymDaemon is restarted while a scan is in progress.

Solution: Corrected an issue that prevented scan jobs from being reset when SymDaemon and SEPPlugin is reloaded.

Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager cannot open the context help menu

Fix ID: ESCRT-3851

Symptoms: Japanese language Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager is unable to open the built-in context help menu.

Solution: Fixed the help pages for Japanese language installations.

SEP Mac kernel panic on macOS 10.13

Fix ID: ESCRT-4009

Symptoms: Kernel panic observed on macOS 10.13.6 with SEP Mac installed.

Solution: Updated exception handling to resolve a crash in SymDaemon.

Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager service hangs after upgrading to 14.3

Fix ID: ESCRT-4087

Symptoms: Intermittent hang observed in Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager after upgrading to 14.3.

Solution: Updated query clean-up procedures to prevent a scenario that can result in a deadlock.

Regsrv32.exe hangs intermittently after upgrading to 14.3 with Application Control enabled

Fix ID: ESCRT-4096

Symptoms: Intermittent hang observed with Regsrv32.exe on Windows 10 when Application Control is enabled.

Solution: Updated Application and Device Control to prevent a scenario that can result in a deadlock.

SEP Mac crash observed when exporting logs from the UI

Fix ID: ESCRT-4122

Symptoms: When exporting logs from the SEP Mac client an error report appears “Symantec Endpoint Protection quit unexpectedly.”

Solution: Resolved an exception when attempting a client log export.

SEPM Web Console limited to 5 concurrent login sessions

Fix ID: ESCRT-4295

Symptoms: When attempting to login to more than 5 concurrent sessions of the SEPM Web Console an error is observed "The maximum number of concurrent clients has been reached." in the logs. 

Solution: Updated the SEPM Web Console to remove the limitation.

SEP Mac kernel panic on macOS 10.14

Fix ID: ESCRT-4306

Symptoms: Kernel panic observed on macOS 10.14.6 with SEP Mac installed.

Solution: SEP Mac agent architecture update.
